PORTSMOUTH, Ohio - Regular season champion and #1 seed Shawnee State will host the American Mideast Conference Baseball Tournament on May 11-13.
The three-team double elimination event opens at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday with defending tournament champion and #2 Malone, 36-16, facing #3 Mount Vernon Nazarene, 29-20 in Game 1. The loser meets the host Bears, 28-27, at 4:00 p.m. in Game 2.
Wednesday’s schedule features the Malone/Mount Vernon Nazarene winner against Shawnee State at 1:00 p.m. in Game 3.
Shawnee State will play in Games 2 and 3 regardless of the outcome. If the loser of Game 1 loses to Shawnee State in Game 2, it is eliminated and the two remaining teams will play a best 2-of-3 series
If all teams have one loss after Game 3, the match-up for Game 4 at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday will be determined by a draw. The team drawn shall receive a bye to Game 5 on Thursday against the winner of Game 4.
