CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- American Mideast Conference champion Point Park College swept the post-season baseball awards. The Pioneers, 34-11 overall and 19-3 AMC, took the league title by a convincing three-game margin with Mark Jackson selected AMC Coach of the Year.

Junior shortstop Don Kelly was voted AMC Player of the Year. He finished third in the conference with a .450 batting average and his 1.51 hits per game ranked first. Junior lefthander Brian Melnyk was the AMC Pitcher of the Year going 8-0 with a 2.99 ERA. He led the loop with 11.23 strikeouts per 9 innings.
