Josh Robson, Mount Vernon Nazarene College
CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- Mount Vernon Nazarene College forward Josh Robson (Mansfield, OH; Madison H.S.) is the AMC men's soccer Player of the Week.

Robson, a six-foot senior, scored twice in the Cougars' 3-2 overtime win at Tiffin in the NAIA Region IX playoffs. It was only their second win ever at TU. He netted MVNC's first two goals which tied the match each time including the final one with less than six minutes left. Robson is the school's all-time leader in goals scored (75) and points (188).

Maurice Muteti, University of Rio Grande
CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- University of Rio Grande forward Maurice Muteti (Nairobi, Kenya) has been selected the AMC Player of the Week in men's soccer. The six-foot sophomore scored five goals and was credited with two assists in leading the Redmen to a pair of AMC shutout victories.

Muteti netted three goals and had an assist in a 6-0 win at Saint Vincent. He came back with two goals and an assist in a 11-0 victory at Point Park.

Ali Lukungu, Tiffin University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- Tiffin University midfielder Ali Lukungu (Kampala, Uganda) is the AMC Player of the Week in men's soccer. He scored six goals during the Dragons' 2-1 week.

Lukungu, a 5-foot-6 sophomore, erupted for four goals in an 8-0 victory at Point Park and netted two goals in a 5-1 win over Davis & Elkins. TU also dropped a 1-0 double overtime decision at NAIA No. 16 Rio Grande.

Mustapha Abbaz, Ohio Dominican College
CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- Ohio Dominican College forward Mustapha Abbaz is the AMC men's soccer Player of the Week. The 6-foot-1 native of Moraco netted five goals in leading the Panthers to a pair of wins.

Abbaz scored twice in a 4-1 victory against Kenyon. He tallied three goals in a 5-1 win over AMC foe Point Park.

Preston Elifritz, Mount Vernon Nazarene College
CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- Mount Vernon Nazarene College forward Preston Elifritz (Fletcher, OH; Miami East H.S.) has been named the AMC men's soccer Player of the Week. The 5-foot-10 junior paced the Cougars to a pair of AMC victories with three goals and one assist.

Elifritz netted both goals in a 2-0 win over Cedarville. He followed that with a goal and an assist in a 3-0 victory at Shawnee State. Elifritz ranks fourth on MVNC's all-time scoring list with 88 points.

Josh Robson, Mount Vernon Nazarene College
CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- Mount Vernon Nazarene College forward Josh Robson (Mansfield, OH; Madison H.S.) is the AMC men's soccer Player of the Week. He was also named the NAIA National Player of the Week after netting five goals to pace the Cougars to a pair of AMC victories.

Robson, a six-foot senior, scored three times in a 5-1 victory at Point Park. He came back with two more scores in a 4-1 win against Saint Vincent. Robson upped his MVNC school-record career goals scored to 69 and his career-leading points total to 172.

Jon Leonard, University of Rio Grande
CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- University of Rio Grande freshman forward Jon Leonard (Belfast, Northern Ireland) has been named the AMC men's soccer Player of the Week. He helped the Redmen stay on top of the conference standings with seven goals and an assist in a pair of AMC wins.

Leonard scored twice in a 3-1 victory over Mount Vernon Nazarene. He then exploded for five goals and an assist in a 9-0 conquest of Shawnee State.

(Week of September 11-17)
Bryan Gratton, Geneva College
CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- Geneva College forward Bryan Gratton (Irwin, PA; Norwin H.S.) is the AMC men's soccer Player of the Week. The 5-foot-10 senior netted nine goals, including back-to-back hat tricks, and handed out four assists while leading the Golden Tornadoes to a 3-0 week.

Gratton opened his week with four goals and two assists in a 7-0 victory over Thiel. He then became the first player in school history to record a hat trick in three consecutive games when he tallied four goals and an assist in a 7-0 win versus Daemen. Gratton also had a goal and an assist in a 4-3 overtime win against AMC foe Point Park. He currently ranks third on Geneva's all-time goals scored list with 40.

(Week of September 4-10)
Craig Kench, Walsh University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- Walsh University midfielder Craig Kench (Leighton Buzzard, England) is the American Mideast Conference men's soccer Player of the Week. He is the first selection for the 2000 season.

Kench, a 5-foot-10 senior, netted four goals with two assists to lead the Cavaliers to a 2-0 week. He scored the game winner and assisted on Walsh's other goal in a 2-1 victory against Trinity Christian. Kench later netted three goals with an assist in a 6-0 win over Daemen.
