Malone wins AMC and NAIA Region IX
championships
CANTON, Ohio (11.4.2000) -- Malone College won the
American Mideast Conference Championship and the NAIA Region IX Championship on
their home course. It was the seventh straight league title and 28th overall
for the Pioneers, ranked No. 4 in the NAIA. Runner-up Cedarville is rated No.
10.
Cedarville junior Sergio Reyes was the individual champion by covering the 8,000 meters in 25:46. Malone's Jack Hazen was voted AMC Coach of the Year.
