CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- Malone College outside hitter Kim Slone earned the J. Albert Turner award as the AMC women's volleyball Player of the Year. The 5-foot-6 senior from Plymouth, Ohio ranked third in the league with 3.87 kills per game and she also rated among the conference leaders in attack percentage and digs.

Malone's Tanya Hockman was voted AMC Coach of the Year by her peers. She guided the Pioneers to a share of the conference title with a 30-14 overall record and a 13-1 AMC mark.

The AMC Freshman of the Year is Kristin Readence of Walsh University. A 5-foot-11 middle blocker from Parma, Ohio, she was also named to the All-AMC First Team and was among the league leaders in attack percentage and blocks.
