Cedarville sweeps AMC and NAIA Region IX championships
CANTON, Ohio (11.4.2000) -- Cedarville University swept the American Mideast Conference and the NAIA Region IX championships at Malone College. It was the sixth conference title overall for the Yellow Jackets, ranked No. 10 in the NAIA, but their first in four years. Runner-up Walsh is ranked No. 25 while host Malone, who is the defending national champion, is rated No. 18.

Malone swept the top three individual places led by Everlyne Lagat who covered the 5,000 meter course in 18:25. Walsh's Al Campbell was selected AMC Coach of the Year.
