Coach of the Year Freshman of the Year CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Shawnee State guard Andre Horton (Lima, OH; Lima H.S.) is the AMC Player of the Year in voting by the conference coaches. The 5-foot-9 junior led the AMC in scoring at 25.7 points per game which included a 43-point effort and two 41-point games. Shawnee State's Geno Ford was selected AMC Coach of the Year by his peers. The first-year head coach guided the Bears to a school-record 22 victories and the #3 seed in the AMC Tournament. Point Park guard Dimitar Simovski (Skopje,
Macedonia) is the AMC Freshman of the Year. He led the Pioneers at 20 points
per game, a 19-10 record, and a berth in the AMC Tournament semifinals. |
