CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Rio Grande forward Maurice Muteti (Nairobi, Kenya) and Mount Vernon Nazarene defender Jeremy Hilen (West Chester, OH; Lakota East H.S.) are the AMC men's soccer Players of the Week.

Muteti, a six-foot junior, scored all three goals in a 3-1 win over Geneva in the first round of the AMC playoffs. Trailing 1-0, the NAIA No. 3 ranked Redmen grabbed the win when Muteti accomplished his "hat trick" in a span of nine minutes midway through the second half.

Hilen, a 6-2 sophomore, helped Mount Vernon Nazarene to a pair of wins. He had two assists in a 5-2 victory at Ohio Dominican in the regular season finale. Hilen scored his first career goal and was part of the Cougars' 10th shutout of the season in a 2-0 decision at Cedarville in the opening round of the AMC playoffs.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Rio Grande teammates Simon Carey (Preston, England) and Oliver Sanders (Colchester, England) are the AMC men's soccer Players of the Week. They helped the Redmen to a pair of wins and the outright conference title.

Carey, a 6-foot-1 freshman forward, was named Offensive Player of the Week with six goals to his credit. He scored five goals in a 10-0 win over Notre Dame OH which clinched the AMC championship. He also scored in the 92nd minute to give the NAIA No. 4 Redmen a 1-0 overtime win against No. 17 Roberts Wesleyan.

Sanders, a 6-4 sophomore goalkeeper, was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week. He played half the match against Notre Dame and then made six saves en route to his ninth shutout of the season against Roberts Wesleyan.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Mount Vernon Nazarene forward Preston Elifritz (Fletcher, OH; Miami East H.S.) and Geneva goalkeeper Chris Roberts (Beaver Falls, PA; Beaver Falls H.S.) have been named the AMC men's soccer Players of the Week.

Elifritz, a 5-foot-10 senior, netted four goals with an assist in two AMC victories. He scored twice and assisted on another in a 5-0 win versus Malone. He had two goals, including the game winner, in a 3-1 decision over Notre Dame. Elifritz matched his career high with 16 goals this fall and is MVNC's second all-time leading scorer.

Roberts, a 6-1 sophomore, helped Geneva extend its winning streak to five in a row with three shutouts. He wasn't challenged in a 15-0 waltz past Wilberforce, but made four saves in a 2-0 victory over Shawnee State, and registered eight saves in a 1-0 upset of Cedarville.

Ronald Arteaga, Ohio Dominican College (offense)
Vince Nicolosi, Tiffin University (defense)

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Ohio Dominican forward Ronald Arteaga (Caracas, Venezuela) and Tiffin defender Vince Nicolosi (Broadview Heights, OH) have been tabbed the AMC Players of the Week in men's soccer.

Arteaga, a 5-foot-9 sophomore, led ODC to two conference wins with eight goals and one assist. He netted two goals with one assist in a 5-1 victory against Saint Vincent. Arteaga finished his week by erupting for a school-record six goals in a 12-1 win versus Point Park.

Nicolosi, a 6-1 senior, played a key role for the Tiffin defense during a 3-0 week with all three wins coming within the AMC. The Dragons blanked Mount Vernon Nazarene, 1-0, and Daemen, 8-0, with a 2-1 decision over Houghton sandwiched in between.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Roberts Wesleyan midfielder Nersal Mujezinovic (Tuzla, Bosnia) and Cedarville goalkeeper Matt Reid (Brownsburg, IN; Bethesda Christian H.S.) are the AMC men's soccer Players of the Week.

Mujezinovic, a 6-foot-1 senior, picked up the AMC offensive player honor with five goals and four assists to lead the Raiders to a 3-0 week. He had a goal in a 2-1 win versus NAIA No. 21 Houghton, three goals and two assists during a 6-1 victory over Point Park, and two goals with two assists in a 5-0 decision against Saint Vincent.

Reid, a 6-1 junior, helped Cedarville extend their winning streak to six in a row with a pair of AMC victories and was selected Defensive Player of the Week. He stopped three shots in a 3-1 win at Ohio Dominican and came back with eight saves in a 1-0 victory against Walsh for his third shutout of the season.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Rio Grande teammates Simon Carey (Preston, England) and Oliver Sanders (Colchester, England) are the AMC men's soccer Players of the Week.

Carey, a six-foot freshman forward, netted four goals with two assists in a 3-0 week for the Redmen, ranked No. 6 in the NAIA. He had one goal in a 5-0 win at AMC defending co-champion Ohio Dominican, three goals and one assist in a 9-0 whitewash of Daemen, and he assisted on the game winner in a 1-0 decision against NAIA No. 20 Tiffin.

Sanders, a 6-2 sophomore, upped his season shutout total to five with two victories. He stopped seven shots in the Ohio Dominican match and made five saves versus Tiffin.

Brad Clodfelter, Houghton College (defense)

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Rio Grande forward Tom Whittaker (Exton, England) and Houghton defender Brad Clodfelter (Winston Salem, NC; Ledford H.S.) have been named the AMC men's soccer Players of the Week.

Whittaker, a 6-foot-1 junior who earned the honor for offense, recorded three goals and two assists as Rio Grande remained unbeaten with two more wins. He had two goals and two assists in an 8-0 AMC win over Shawnee State. Whittaker added one goal in a 3-0 victory at NCAA Division II Charleston WV.

Clodfelter, a 5-9 defender, was named Defensive Player of the Week after leading Houghton to back-to-back 2-1 AMC wins. He also helped on the offensive end of the field with a goal and an assist against Mount Vernon Nazarene. Clodfelter netted the game winner in the 77th minute against Ohio Dominican.

Rusty Knight, Houghton College (defense)

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Notre Dame College forward Jeremy Kephart (Parma, OH; Parma H.S.) and Houghton defender Rusty Knight (Thomasville, NC; Wesleyan Academy) are the AMC men's soccer Players of the Week.

Kephart, a 5-foot-9 junior, earned top offensive honors after recording six goals and six assists to lead the Falcons to a pair of AMC victories. He scored in overtime of a 1-0 upset win at Walsh, and then exploded for five goals and six assists in a 13-0 decision over Wilberforce.

Knight, a 6-3 junior, helped Houghton's defense post a pair of AMC shutout victories. The Highlanders blanked Shawnee State, 9-0, and then handcuffed Cedarville, 4-0, who lost for the first time in five AMC matches.

Ron Dezalovsky, Ohio Dominican College (offense)
Casey Swanson, Mount Vernon Nazarene College (defense)

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Ohio Dominican midfielder Ron Dezalovsky (Tel Aviv, Israel; Tel Aviv H.S.) and Mount Vernon Nazarene defender Casey Swanson (Mount Vernon, OH; Mount Vernon H.S.) are the AMC men's soccer Players of the Week.

Dezalovsky, a 5-foot-10 sophomore, earned offensive honors with five goals and six assists in two AMC victories. He netted two goals with three assists in a 9-1 win at Urbana. He added three goals and three assists in a 17-1 victory at Wilberforce.

Swanson, a 6-2 junior, took the defensive award and was part of an MVNC defense that allowed one goal in a 1-0-1 week. He was named to the Cougar Invitational all-tournament team.
