Malone wins AMC Championship
HOUGHTON, New York (4.27.2002) - Malone regained the AMC men's track and field championship for its fifth win in the past six years. The Pioneers, with 154 points, edged defending champion Cedarville, who finished with 149. Malone's Charlie Grimes was recognized as AMC Coach of the Year.
Walsh's George Theodoris earned Outstanding
Performer of the Meet honors for his 1st-place finishes in the 400 meters
(48.96), triple jump (44-7), and 4 x 100 relay (42.21), and a 3rd place in the
long jump (21-6.75). There were no AMC men's records broken in the meet.
