CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Malone College forward Filomena Aprile (Maple, Ontario; Holy
Cross H.S.) and Tiffin University defender Carola Andersson (Malmo, Sweden;
Malmo H.S.) have been selected the AMC women's soccer Players of the
Week.
Aprile, a six-foot senior, paced Malone to the outright AMC title during a 2-0 week. She netted the lone goal in a 1-0 win at Walsh to wrap up the regular season, and then she scored three times in a 6-0 victory over Cedarville in the opening round of the AMC playoffs.
Anderson, a 5-5 junior, earned Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second straight time as Tiffin posted back-to-back shutouts versus Urbana. The first was a 0-0 double overtime tie on the road, but the second meeting was a 7-0 win at TU in the first round of the AMC playoffs. Andersson netted two goals in the victory.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Seton Hill forward Jen Peddicord (Sutersville, PA; Yough
H.S.) and Tiffin University defender Carola Andersson (Malmo, Sweden; Malmo
H.S.) are the AMC women's soccer Players of the Week.
Peddicord, a 5-foot-7 junior, netted five goals with one assist in two Seton Hill victories. She had two goals and an assist in a 5-1 win over Notre Dame, and then tallied three goals in a 6-1 win versus Carlow.
Andersson, a 5-5 junior, helped NAIA No. 24 Tiffin to a pair of shutout victories. The Dragons blanked Walsh, 5-0, and shut down Shawnee State, 3-0.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Tiffin forward Sarah Fieler (Cincinnati, OH; Roger Bacon
H.S.) and Houghton defender Dana Sell (Mountville, PA; Hempfield H.S.) have
been selected the AMC Players of the Week in women's soccer.
Fieler, a 5-foot-5 junior, had two goals and three assists to lead NAIA No. 24 Tiffin to a pair of victories. She had two assists in a 4-1 win at Saint Vincent and then tallied two goals with an assist in a 3-1 victory at Seton Hill.
Sell, a 5-7 freshman, earned Defensive Player of the Week honors after helping shut down AMC leader Malone. Houghton played the Pioneers, ranked No. 15 in the NAIA, to a 0-0 standoff in double overtime.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Tiffin forward Carrie Gregory (Springfield, OH; Catholic
Central H.S.) and Malone goalkeeper Laurie Franklin (Prospect, KY; South Oldham
H.S.) are the AMC women's soccer Players of the Week.
Gregory, a 5-foot-1 freshman, scored both goals in Tiffin's 2-1 victory over NAIA No. 21 Houghton. She also scored twice in a 6-1 win versus Daemen.
Franklin, a 5-6 freshman, posted three shutouts to lead NAIA No. 16 Malone to three more wins. She made four saves in a 3-0 victory at Carlow, six saves during a 6-0 decision at Bethel IN, and 12 saves in a 1-0 win at Indiana Wesleyan. Franklin has four consecutive shutouts and nine for the season.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Walsh forward Marisa Rogers (Marion, OH; Marion Catholic
H.S.) and Malone defender Megan Young (Diamond, OH; Southeast H.S.) are the AMC
women's soccer Players of the Week.
Rogers, a 5-foot-5 senior, scored in all three games during Walsh's 2-1 week. She had a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win over Mount Vernon Nazarene; one goal in a 3-2 setback at Cedarville; and a goal with an assist in a 3-2 victory at Shawnee State.
Young, a 5-9 senior, assisted on the winning goal and aided in securing a 2-0 shutout over NAIA No. 11 and three-time defending AMC champion Tiffin. The Dragons entered the match with a 32-0 league record in three-plus years.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Tiffin midfielder Carola Andersson (Malmo, Sweden; Malmo
H.S.) and Urbana goalkeeper Kristy Miller have been selected the AMC Players of
the Week in women's soccer.
Andersson, a 5-foot-6 junior, scored six goals and handed out five assists as NAIA No. 11 Tiffin won a pair of AMC matches. She had two goals and three assists in a 7-1 victory over Cedarville, who entered the match ranked No. 4 in NAIA Region IX. Andersson ended her week with four goals and two assists in a 13-1 decision against Ursuline.
Miller, a 5-8 sophomore, helped Urbana extend their winning streak to seven in a row with three shutouts. She made six saves in a 2-0 win versus Walsh, four saves in a 5-0 victory over Daemen, and four saves in a 2-0 non-conference decision at Thomas More.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Urbana forward Michelle Williams (Kettering, OH; Fairmont
H.S.) and Daemen defender Rachel Golonka (Depew, NY; Depew H.S.) are the AMC
women's soccer Players of the Week.
Williams, a 5-foot-6 freshman, scored four goals and added two assists to help Urbana extend their winning streak to four straight with two more AMC victories. She netted three goals with an assist in a 6-1 decision over Geneva. Williams tallied a goal and an assist in a 4-1 victory against Carlow.
Golonka, a 5-7 freshman, led a Daemen defense that allowed just one goal in two AMC victories. She also played a part in five of the team's seven goals during the week. Golonka scored three times in a 4-1 win over Notre Dame to go along with a goal and an assist in a 3-0 shutout over Walsh.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Urbana forward Jessica Lyons (Beavercreek, OH; Beavercreek
H.S.) and Cedarville goalkeeper Melissa Fawcett (Cedarville, OH; Cedarville
H.S.) are the AMC women's soccer Players of the Week.
Lyons scored two game-winning goals for the Blue Knights in a pair of AMC matches. The freshman found the net with 12 minutes left of a 2-1 victory against Mount Vernon Nazarene and then scored in the second overtime of a 2-1 decision at Roberts Wesleyan.
Fawcett, a 5-foot-9 sophomore, made 11 saves in Cedarville's 1-0-1 week in AMC play. She posted her third shutout of the season and stopped six shots in a 3-0 win at Daemen. Fawcett had five saves in a 1-1 tie at NAIA No. 16 Houghton.

Cross H.S.) and Sara Price (Silver Lake, OH; Cuyahoga Falls, OH) have been
selected the AMC women's soccer Players of the Week. They helped the Pioneers,
5-0 overall and 5-0 AMC, to three more wins.
Aprile, a senior forward, tallied five goals and three assists. She had a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win over Urbana, a goal and an assist in a 3-1 victory at Cedarville, and three goals with an assist in a 9-0 decision versus Shawnee State.
Price, a junior defender, was part of a Pioneer defense that allowed just nine shots in the three AMC wins.
