James Floyd, Roberts Wesleyan College
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Roberts Wesleyan guard James Floyd (Syracuse, NY; Henninger H.S.) is the AMC men's basketball Player of the Week. The 5-foot-9 junior averaged 34.5 points per game in leading the Raiders to a pair of victories.

Floyd scored 32 points in an 89-81 victory over Malone and came back with 37 points during an 84-77 win versus Houghton. He shot .556 from the field overall for the week, .500 outside the three-point line on 11-of-22 accuracy, and made all eight of his charity tosses. Floyd added five rebounds, three steals, and an assist.

Tez Williams, Point Park College
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Point Park guard Tez Williams has been selected the AMC men's basketball Player of the Week. The 5-foot-11 sophomore averaged 17.7 points to lead the Pioneers to a 3-0 week.

Williams netted 18 points with seven rebounds in a 68-62 win at Houghton; scored 24 points during a 73-68 victory at NCAA Division II West Liberty State; and had 11 points and nine boards in a 63-60 win versus Roberts Wesleyan.

For the week, Williams shot .625 from the field overall, .579 outside the arc by hitting 11-of 19 treys, and he converted both of his charity tosses. He contributed 20 rebounds, nine assists, and four steals.

(February 3-9)
Jason Hamilton, Walsh University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Walsh guard Jason Hamilton (Coshocton, OH; Coshocton H.S.) is the AMC men's basketball Player of the Week. The six-foot guard averaged 28 points and 5.5 rebounds to lead the Cavaliers to a pair of road victories.

Hamilton scored a career-high 32 points with six rebounds in a 91-75 win at Roberts Wesleyan. He came back with 24 points and five boards during a 74-63 victory at Mount Vernon Nazarene.

For the week, Hamilton shot .556 from the field overall, netted a couple of three-point baskets, and converted 14-of-19 free throws for a .737 accuracy. He added four assists and two steals.

(January 27 - February 2)
Dartona Washam, Saint Vincent College
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Saint Vincent forward Dartona Washam (New Castle, DE; Sanford School) has been named the AMC men's basketball Player of the Week for the third time this season. The 6-foot-5 sophomore averaged 31 points and 11.3 rebounds to lead the NAIA Division II No. 4 Bearcats to three more victories.

Washam totaled 27 points and 11 rebounds in a 62-57 win at NCAA Division II Slippery Rock; scored 33 points with 11 boards during a 93-76 victory at Notre Dame; and finished with 33 points and nine rebounds in a 77-66 win versus Urbana.

For the week, Washam shot .564 from the field overall, .250 outside the arc, and converted 28-of-30 free throws for a .933 accuracy. He added eight assists, five steals, and three blocked shots.

(January 20-26)
Phil Argento, Mount Vernon Nazarene University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Mount Vernon Nazarene guard Phil Argento (Grafton, OH; Lutheran West H.S.) is the AMC men's basketball Player of the Week. The 6-foot-2 senior averaged 29.7 points in three games for the Cougars and became just the second player in Ohio college basketball history to surpass 400 career three-point baskets made.

Argento's highlight came when he hit eight treys and scored a career-high 40 points in a 78-77 win at Walsh. He fired in 30 points in the second half alone as MVNU rallied from an 18-point halftime deficit. Earlier in the week, he knocked down five three-pointers en route to 26 points at Malone and added four bombs with 23 points against Tiffin.

In three games, Argento shot .464 from the field overall, hit 17-of-42 three-pointers for a .405 accuracy, and converted his free throws at an .800 clip. He totaled seven steals, five rebounds, and four assists. Argento also became the fourth player in school history to reach 2,000 career points and now stands third on the Cougars' all-time scoring list with 2,074 points.

(January 13-19)
Mike Fiebig, Ohio Dominican University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Ohio Dominican forward Mike Fiebig (Dublin, OH; Scioto H.S.) has been named the AMC men's basketball Player of the Week. The 6-foot-4 sophomore averaged 17 ppg to pace the Panthers to a 3-0 week.

Fiebig scored 17 points in a 82-71 win at Mount Vernon Nazarene; 16 points in a 92-78 victory at Tiffin; and 18 points in a 63-58 win versus Notre Dame.

Fiebig shot .515 from the field overall, .500 outside the three-point line, and .700 at the charity stripe. He totaled eight rebounds, six assists, and two steals.

(January 6-12)
Chris Ballenger, University of Rio Grande
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Rio Grande center Chris Ballenger (Zanesville, OH; Philo H.S.) is the AMC men's basketball Player of the Week. The 6-foot-6 senior averaged 19.5 points to lead the NAIA Division II No. 25 Redmen to back-to-back one-point victories.

Ballenger netted 14 points in a 55-54 win at Urbana. He also scored 25 points, including the game-winner with 0:01 remaining, for a 69-68 victory over Malone.

Ballenger shot .667 from the field for the week and .636 at the charity stripe. He totaled nine rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

(December 30 - January 5)
Mike Lee, Ohio Dominican University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Ohio Dominican guard Mike Lee (Cincinnati, OH; Oak Hills H.S.) has been selected the AMC men's basketball Player of the Week. He led the Panthers to a 3-0 week including two victories over nationally-ranked opponents.

Lee poured in a 21 points in a 85-64 decision over NAIA Division I No. 6 Spring Hill AL in the first game of the Embry-Riddle Tournament in Florida. He followed that effort with 20 points in a 65-63 win over the host Eagles, who are ranked No. 13 in NAIA Division II. Lee finished his week with 10 points and eight assists in a 101-61 victory against Michigan-Dearborn.

For the week, Lee shot .565 from the field overall, .375 outside the arc, and .815 at the line. He totaled 15 assists, six rebounds, and four steals.

(December 16-22)
Dartona Washam, Saint Vincent College
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Saint Vincent guard Dartona Washam (Wilmington, DE; Sanford School) is the AMC men's basketball Player of the Week. The 6-foot-5 sophomore averaged 27.8 points and 8.5 rebounds during the NAIA Division II No. 8 Bearcats' 3-1 week while being named MVP of the Saint Xavier Invitational.

Washam totaled 27 points and 15 rebounds in a 78-68 win at Cedarville that ended the Yellow Jackets' seven-game winning streak. At the Saint Xavier Invitational, he had 34 points in a 98-78 victory over Saint Ambrose; 26 points during a 80-78 win versus Master's; and 24 points in the final of a 87-83 loss to NAIA Division I No. 14 Saint Xavier.

For the week, Washam shot .612 from the field, .353 outside the arc, and .793 at the charity stripe. He added 34 rebounds, 13 assists, eight steals, and four blocks.

(December 9-15)
Jarrod Brumbaugh, Urbana University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Urbana center Jarrod Brumbaugh (Laura, OH; Franklin-Monroe H.S.) has been named the AMC men's basketball Player of the Week. He averaged 23.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in two victories for the Blue Knights.

Brumbaugh, a 6-foot-9 junior, poured in 29 points, including six in overtime, to go along with 11 rebounds in a 92-89 victory over South Division foe Tiffin. He came back with 18 points, six boards, and a career-high five blocks during a 71-61 win versus Point Park.

For the week, Brumbaugh shot .654 from the field and .722 at the free throw line. He recorded 17 rebounds, eight blocks, two assists, and one steal for the Blue Knights, who have won three straight games.

(December 2-8)
Dartona Washam, Saint Vincent College
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Saint Vincent guard Dartona Washam (Wilmington, DE; Sanford School) is the AMC men's basketball Player of the Week. The 6-foot-5 sophomore paced the NAIA Division II No. 10 and unbeaten Bearcats to three more wins by averaging 27.7 points and 10.7 rebounds per game.

Washam began his week with 23 points and six steals in a 94-58 victory at Mount Aloysius. He then exploded for 33 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists in a 96-54 victory over Eastern Mennonite in the first game of the Bridgewater VA Tournament, and he followed that up with 27 points, 15 boards, and six assists in a 78-61 decision over the host school in the final.

For the week, Washam shot .627 from the field overall, .421 outside the three-point line, and .667 at the charity stripe. He also registered 32 rebounds, 20 assists, 10 steals, and six blocked shots.

(November 25 - December 1)
Kenny Roberts, Saint Vincent College
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Saint Vincent guard Kenny Roberts (Falling Water, WV; Hedgeville H.S.) has been selected the AMC men's basketball Player of the Week. The 6-foot-1 sophomore guided the NAIA Division II No. 17 Bearcats to a pair of victories by averaging 17 points and six assists per game.

Roberts scored 18 points with eight assists and four steals in an 81-70 win versus Saint Thomas Aquinas. He came back with 16 points, four assists, and three steals during an 88-68 victory over Rio Grande.

For the week, Roberts shot .667 from the field overall, hit 7-of-10 three-point shots for a .700 accuracy, and shot .600 at the line. He totaled 12 assists, seven steals, six rebounds, and three blocked shots.

(November 18-24)
Andy Dunn, Mount Vernon Nazarene University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Mount Vernon Nazarene guard Andy Dunn (Hamilton, OH; Lakota West H.S.) is the AMC men's basketball Player of the Week. He averaged 22.7 ppg in pacing the Cougars to a 3-0 week and the Defiance Tournament title where he earned MVP honors.

Dunn, a 6-foot-1 junior, opened his week by making 7-of-9 treys and scoring 21 points in a 90-78 win at Notre Dame. He began tournament play with six more bombs and 25 points in a 101-96 victory over Bethel IN. He added six three-pointers en route to 22 points and a career-high nine assists during a 97-86 win against host Defiance in the championship game.

For the week, Dunn shot .575 from the field and hit 19-of-30 three-pointers for a .633 accuracy to go along with a .600 effort at the line. He added 15 assists, six rebounds, and three steals.

(November 11-17)
Antwain Lavender, Shawnee State University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Shawnee State guard Antwain Lavender (Columbus, OH; Brookhaven H.S.) has been named the first men's basketball Player of the Week in the American Mideast Conference for the 2002-03 season.

Lavender, a 5-foot-9 guard, averaged 25 points in a pair of road wins for the Bears. He scored 23 points in a 101-78 win at Ohio State-Lima and then pumped in 27 points as SSU rallied from a 15-point deficit for an 84-80 victory at Wilberforce.

Lavender shot .583 from the field overall and .421 outside the arc. He made 13-of-14 free throws for a .929 mark to go along with 10 assists, eight rebounds, and five steals.
