CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Houghton forward Trevor Eby (New Holland, PA; Lancaster
Mennonite H.S.) and Urbana sweeper Jim Bennett (Troy, OH; Miami East H.S.) are
the AMC men's soccer Players of the Week.
Eby, a six-foot junior, was selected as the top
offensive player for the second straight week after recording four goals and
four assists in a pair of wins. He tallied two goals and three assists in an
8-2 victory against NCAA Division II Gannon. He added a pair of goals with an
assist in a 6-2 win versus Saint Vincent. Eby moved into fourth place on
Houghton's all-time goals scored list with 44.
Bennett, a 6-1 junior, played a key role in
Urbana's back-to-back 2-0 decisions against Cedarville and Walsh. He had an
assist against Walsh and was part of a Blue Knight defense that finished with a
school-record nine shutouts for the season.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Houghton forward Trevor Eby (New Holland, PA; Lancaster
Mennonite H.S.) and Mount Vernon Nazarene goalkeeper Trevor Knowles (Gahanna,
OH; Westerville North H.S.) have been named the AMC men's soccer Players of the
Week.
Eby, a six-foot junior, scored three goals with
three assists to lead Houghton to a pair of North Division wins. he netted two
goals and an assist in an 8-1 win over Point Park, and scored once with two
assists in a 5-2 victory at Geneva. Eby became just the fifth Houghton player
to ever score 100 career points. He now has 40 goals and 24 assists for 104
points.
Knowles, a 6-5 senior goalkeeper, made seven
saves in Mount Vernon Nazarene's 2-0 win at Urbana for their sixth shutout of
the season. He was also credited with three saves in a 6-1 decision against
Trinity International.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Tiffin midfielder Ali Lukungu (Kampala, Uganda) and
Cedarville goalkeeper Matt Reid (Brownsburg, IN; Bethesda Christian H.S.) have
been named the AMC men's soccer Players of the Week.
Lukungu, a 5-foot-7 senior, exploded for four
goals, all in the first half, of a 5-3 win versus Notre Dame. He also had two
goals and an assist in a 4-0 victory against Walsh. The Dragons won
two-of-three matches with their lone setback a 2-1 decision at NCAA Division II
West Virginia Wesleyan.
Reid, a 6-1 senior, posted back-to-back 1-0
shutouts during Cedarville's 2-1 week to raise his school-record shutout total
to 15 for a career. He made nine saves at Mount Vernon Nazarene and five more
against Marian IN. Reid stopped three shots in a 2-1 loss to Notre Dame.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Rio Grande forward Jon Leonard (Belfast, Northern Ireland)
and Saint Vincent goalkeeper Brent White (Mt. Pleasant, PA; Mt. Pleasant H.S.)
have been named the AMC men's soccer Players of the Week.
Leonard, a 6-foot-1 senior, repeated as
Offensive Player of the Week after scoring four times in two more wins for the
unbeaten and NAIA No. 2 Redmen. He netted three goals in a 6-1 victory over
Urbana and added one more in a 2-0 win at Mount Vernon Nazarene.
White, a sophomore goalkeeper for Saint
Vincent, made six saves in a 4-0 AMC North Division win versus Daeman and
stopped six shots in a 5-0 division victory against Point Park. He has allowed
just one goal in his last six outings with five shuouts and has six shutouts
total for the season.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Rio Grande forward Jon Leonard (Belfast, Northern Ireland)
and Notre Dame goalkeeper Chris Logan (Stone, England) have been named the AMC
men's soccer Players of the Week.
Leonard, a 6-foot-1 senior, led NAIA No. 3 and
undefeated Rio Grande to a pair of AMC South Division victories. He had two
goals and two assists in a 5-1 decision over Cedarville. Leonard followed that
effort with a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win at Tiffin.
Logan, a 6-1 freshman, helped keep Notre Dame
unbeaten in North Division play with two more wins. He stopped five shots in a
2-1 victory over Houghton and recorded three saves in a 1-0 win at Saint
Vincent.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Tiffin forward Ron Mugabi (Jinja, Uganda) and Roberts
Wesleyan goalkeeper Philip Cavicchia (Brampton, ONT; St. Augustine H.S.) have
been selected the AMC men's soccer Players of the Week.
Mugabi, a 5-foot-10 junior, helped Tiffin
remain unbeaten through two AMC South Division matches in a 4-0 win versus
Mount Vernon Nazarene. He scored one goal and assisted on two others.
Cavicchia, a 6-1 sophomore, led Roberts
Wesleyan to its second straight AMC North Division win. He made three saves in
a 2-0 victory at Walsh.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Urbana forward Nate Webb (Hamilton, OH; Badin H.S.) and Ohio
Dominican goalkeeper Ed Ball (Garland, TX; Pearce H.S.) are the AMC men's
soccer Players of the Week.
Webb, a 6-foot-1 freshman, led the Blue Knights
to a 3-2 non-conference win at Thomas More. He scored the tying goal with 15
minutes left in regulation and the winning tally eight minutes into overtime.
Ball, a 6-1 senior, stopped five shots in a 1-0
AMC South Division win at Mount Vernon Nazarene in his only appearance of the
week.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Notre Dame forward Jeremy Kephart (Parma, OH; Parma H.S.)
and Houghton goalkeeper Steve Cox (Markham, ONT; Stouffville District H.S.)
have been selected the AMC Players of the Week in men's soccer. Kephart was
also named the NAIA National Player of the Week.
Kephart, a 5-foot-9 senior, scored eight goals
with four assists to lead Notre Dame to a 2-0-1 week and the Heidelberg
Invitational Cup championship. He had three goals and two assists in a 9-0 win
at Bluffton; a goal and an assist in a 2-2 tie versus Heidelberg; and four
goals with one assist in a 5-0 victory over Siena Heights.
Cox, a 5-11 sophomore, stopped 11 shots in
posting back-to-back shutouts during Houghton's 1-0-1 week. He had one save in
a 4-0 AMC North Division win over Daemen and tallied 10 saves in a 0-0 tie with
Tiffin.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville forward Jon Waldo (Brookfield, IL; Riverside
Brookfield H.S.) and Urbana goalkeeper Aaron Vorst (Kalida, OH; Kalida H.S.)
are the first AMC men's soccer Players of the Week for the 2002 season.
Waldo, a 6-foot-2 junior, scored four goals and
tallied three assists as the Yellow Jackets improved their record to 5-0 with
three victories. He had two assists and scored in overtime of a 3-2 win at
Wittenberg; earned the assist on the lone goal of a 1-0 victory at Indiana
Wesleyan; and netted the first three goals in a 4-0 win at Taylor.
Vorst, a 6-2 sophomore, made seven saves to
lead Urbana to a 2-0 victory over Huntington. It was his third shutout of the
season and he lowered his goals against average to 0.33. The Blue Knights are
unbeaten through four matches.
