2003-04 Players of the Week
(February 22-28)
Becky Richter, Ohio Dominican University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Ohio Dominican forward Becky Richter (Columbus, OH) is the
AMC women's basketball Player of the Week. The 6-foot-2 senior averaged 21.3
points to pace the Panthers to the AMC/NAIA Qualifying Tournament title and a
national tournament berth.
Richter tallied 18 points and 12 rebounds in a
76-59 win over Saint Vincent. She scored 18 points during a 67-51 victory at
Geneva, and then exploded for 28 points in a 84-67 win versus NAIA Division II
No. 13 Shawnee State in the championship game.
For the week, she shot 55 percent from the
field and made 20-of-22 free throws for 91 percent. She added 24 rebounds, five
blocks, three assists, and three steals.

Kari Flunker, Cedarville University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville guard Kari Flunker (Florence, WI) has been named
the AMC women's basketball Player of the Week. The 5-foot-7 junior averaged
22.5 points to lead the NAIA Division II No. 3 Lady Jackets to two victories
and a perfect slate in the South Division.
Flunker recorded 17 points, five assists, and
five steals in a 93-59 decision over Rio Grande. She matched her career-high
with 28 points with four assists and four steals during a 72-68 win over No. 10
Shawnee State.
For the week, Flunker shot 61.5 percent from
the field overall, made 8-of-15 three-pointers for 53 percent, and was 5-for-6
at the line to go along with eight rebounds. She broke her own school record
for the most treys made in a single season and now totals 82.

Allison Depp, Daemen College
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Daemen center Allison Depp (Lockport, NY) is the AMC women's
basketball Player of the Week. The six-foot senior averaged 24.5 points and 8.0
rebounds to guide the North Division champion Lady Wildcats to two road
victories.
Depp fired in 33 points with eight rebounds in
a 88-81 win at Roberts Wesleyan. She tallied 16 points and eight boards during
a 62-55 victory at Saint Vincent.
For the week, Depp shot 51 percent from the
field and 72 percent at the free throw line. She added four blocks, three
steals, and two assists.

Jennifer Stuczynski, Roberts Wesleyan College
Roberts Wesleyan forward Jennifer Stuczynski (Fredonia, NY) has been named the
AMC women's basketball Player of the Week for the second straight time. The
six-foot senior averaged 28.5 points and 9.0 rebounds while pacing the Raiders
to two more victories.
Stuczynski poured in 35 points with eight
rebounds and four assists in a 91-75 win versus Saint Vincent. She added 22
points, 10 rebounds, and five steals during a 69-61 decision over Seton Hill.
For the week, Stuczynski shot 51 percent from
the field and 58 percent at the charity stripe. She totaled seven assists,
seven steals, and a blocked shot. She is 23 points shy of becoming Roberts
Wesleyan's all-time scoring leader.

Jennifer Stuczynski, Roberts Wesleyan College
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Roberts Wesleyan forward Jennifer Stuczynski (Fredonia, NY)
is the AMC women's basketball Player of the Week. The six-foot senior averaged
27.5 points and 9.5 rebounds to lead the Raiders to a pair of North Division
wins.
Stuczynski opened her week with 15 points, 8
rebounds, 7 assists, and 7 steals in a 72-41 victory at Houghton. She then
exploded for a school-record 40 points with 11 boards, 7 assists, 5 steals, and
3 blocks during a 93-91 overtime win versus Notre Dame.
Stuczynski shot 46 percent from the field in
the two games, was 2-for-5 outside the arc, and made 9-of-13 free throws for 69
percent. She is 77 points shy from becoming Roberts Wesleyan's all-time leading
scorer.

Amanda Lewis, Ohio Dominican University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Ohio Dominican guard Amanda Lewis (Lima, OH) is the AMC
women's basketball Player of the Week. She averaged 18 points and 5.5 assists
to guide the Panthers to a pair of road victories.
Lewis, a 5-foot-7 senior, registered 20 points,
seven rebounds, and seven assists in a 86-78 victory at NAIA Division II No. 2
Shawnee State. The outcome avenged a 22-point home loss to the Bears in
December. She also had 17 points, three rebounds, four assists, and three
steals in a 72-58 win at Rio Grande.
For the week, Lewis shot 40 percent from the
field and made 20-of-23 free throws for 87 percent. ODU has won four of their
last five games and seven of the past nine.

Kari Flunker, Cedarville University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville guard Kari Flunker (Florence, WI) has been
selected the AMC women's basketball Player of the Week. The 5-foot-7 junior
averaged 24 points and five assists while leading the NAIA Division II No. 6
Lady Jackets to a pair of AMC South Division wins against teams receiving votes
in the national poll.
Flunker opened the week with 27 points and six
assists in a 85-67 victory at Rio Grande. She hit five consecutive
three-pointers and netted 20 points in the second half alone when Cedarville
broke open a tie game. She scored 21 points with four assists in an 88-63 win
versus Walsh.
For the week, Flunker shot 58.6 percent from
the field overall and made 8-of-11 outside the arc for 72.7 percent. She was
6-for-7 at the line for 85.7 percent to go along with seven rebounds and four
steals.

Allison Depp, Daemen College
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Daemen center Allison Depp (Lockport, NY) is the AMC women's
basketball Player of the Week. She had three straight double-doubles and
averaged 25.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per game during the Lady Warriors' 2-1
week.
Depp, a six-foot sophomore, finished her week
in impressive fashion with a career-high 30 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 4
blocks, and 4 steals in a 100-95 overtime win at AMC North Division foe Notre
Dame. Prior to that, she tallied 18 points, 13 boards, and 4 blocks in a 64-54
win against Geneva which gave Daemen sole possession of the division lead.
Depp opened the week with 28 points and 11
rebounds in a 98-70 setback at NCAA Division II Pitt-Johnstown, who sports a
10-1 record. She made 69.6 percent of her shots from the field for the week and
netted 12-of-14 free throws for 85.7 percent. Depp totaled 9 assists, 9 blocks,
and 4 steals.

Joanna Daugenti, Daemen College
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Daemen forward Joanna Daugenti (Seneca Falls, NY) is the AMC
women's basketball Player of the Week. She averaged 17 ppg and 9.5 rpg in a
pair of wins.
Daugenti, a 5-foot-10 junior, tallied 18
points, eight rebounds, and five steals in a 70-50 victory at LeMoyne. She
added 16 points, 11 boards, and two assists during a 69-63 AMC win at Seton
Hill.
For the week, Daugenti shot 60 percent from the
field overall, drained 4-of-7 three-pointers, and was 6-for-7 at the line.

Becky Richter, Ohio Dominican University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Ohio Dominican forward Becky Richter (Columbus, OH) is the
AMC women's basketball Player of the Week.
Richter, a 6-foot-2 senior, scored 20 points
and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead ODU to a 70-57 win at Tiffin in an AMC
South Divisin contest. She made 8-of-16 shots from the floor and was 4-of-6 at
the line. Richter added two assists, one block, and one steal.

Mandy Goin, Shawnee State University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Shawnee State center Mandy Goin (Belpre, OH) is the AMC
women's basketball Player of the Week for the second straight time.
Goin, a 6-foot-1 senior, scored 19 points and
grabbed 19 rebounds in a 72-65 win over NAIA Division I No. 15 Georgetown. She
made 7-of-14 shots from the field and 5-of-6 free throws for the Bears, ranked
No. 4 in NAIA Division II.

Mandy Goin, Shawnee State University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Shawnee State center Mandy Goin (Belpre, OH) has been
selected the AMC women's basketball Player of the Week. She paced the NAIA
Division II No. 4 Bears to a pair of wins in AMC South Division action.
Goin, a 6-foot-1 senior, scored 21 points and
pulled down nine rebounds in a 76-54 win at Ohio Dominican. She added 18 points
and eight boards in a 86-64 decision over NAIA Division II No. 25 Walsh.
For the week, she shot .593 from the field and
.583 at the line. She contributed one assist, one steal, and one block.

Enosha Payne, Urbana University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Urbana guard Enosha Payne has been chosen the AMC women's
basketball Player of the Week. The 5-foot-8 junior from Dayton, OH averaged 18
ppg and 7.7 rpg during the Blue Knights' 2-1 week.
Payne produced a double-double of 19 points and
10 rebounds in a 79-71 win versus Heidelberg. She scored 16 points in a 87-62
victory over Olivet Nazarene in the first round of the Taylor Tournament, and
then had 19 points and nine boards in a 87-84 setback to the host Trojans in
the championship game.
For the week, Payne shot .529 from the field
overall, drained 9-of-20 three-pointers for a .450 percentage, and was 10-of-11
at the line for a .909 accuracy. She totaled 23 rebounds, eight assists, five
steals, and two blocks.

Jen Rawding, Geneva College
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Geneva forward Jen Rawding (Beaver Falls, PA) is the AMC
women's basketball Player of the Week. She averaged 24.7 points and 6.7
rebounds during the Golden Tornadoes' 3-0 week.
Rawding, a 5-foot-10 sophomore, netted 27
points with 6 rebounds in a 74-65 victory at Mount Vernon Nazarene. She scored
24 points and grabbed 6 boards in a 78-54 win versus East Stroudsburg at the
Nyack Tournament, and then racked up 23 points and 8 rebounds in a 87-48
victory over Saint Joseph's NY in the final.
Rawding shot .542 from the field and made
21-of-26 free throws for an .808 accuracy. She added 7 assists and 1 steal.

Ashley Norman, Walsh University
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Walsh center Ashley Norman (Zanesville, OH) is the first AMC
women's basketball Player of the Week for the 2003-04 season. She led the
Cavaliers to the Georgetown Tournament title with victories over two NAIA
nationally-ranked teams.
Norman, a 5-foot-10 senior, averaged 21 points
and eight rebounds per game while shooting .545 from the field and .667 at the
line. She scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 68-64 win over NAIA
Division I No. 11 Georgetown. In the final, she tallied 23 points with seven
boards in a 61-58 decision against NAIA Division II No. 25 Saint Francis IN.
