AMC Tiebreakers
The American Mideast Conference basketball
tiebreakers are set by the coaches in the AMC Guidelines and approved by the
AMC Athletic Directors Council.
The tiebreakers involving two
teams for team selection and seeding for the AMC/NAIA Qualifying
Tournament are:
1. Head-to-head competition.
2. Record against teams in order of conference divisional finish.
3. Coin flip administered by the AMC Commissioner.
The tiebreakers involving three or more
teams for team selection and seeding for the AMC/NAIA Qualifying
Tournament are:
1. Head-to-head competition (best W-L percentage in games among the teams).
2. Record against teams in order of conference divisional finish.
3. Coin flip administered by the AMC Commissioner.
2003-04 NORTH DIVISION TIEBREAKER
Ohio Dominican-Roberts Wesleyan-Saint Vincent
1. All three teams split two division games with one another.
2. All three were 0-2 vs. Daemen;
Geneva was 2-0 vs. Notre Dame; Roberts Wesleyan and
Saint Vincent, both 1-1 vs. Notre Dame.
Geneva wins three-team tiebreaker
Roberts Wesleyan-Saint Vincent
1. Teams split two division games.
2. Both 0-2 vs. Daemen; 1-1 vs. Geneva; 1-1 vs. Notre Dame; and swept all
remaining teams in division.
3. Coin flip administered by the AMC Commissioner.

2003-04 SOUTH DIVISION TIEBREAKER
Shawnee State-Ohio Dominican
1. Teams split two division games.
2. Both 0-2 vs. Cedarville; Shawnee State 2-0 vs. Walsh (see below); Ohio
Dominican 1-1 vs. Walsh.
Shawnee State wins tiebreaker
Walsh-Urbana-Tiffin
1. Walsh 2-0 vs. Urbana and 1-1 vs. Tiffin - 3-1 overall
1. Urbana 0-2 vs. Walsh and 2-0 vs. Tiffin - 2-2 overall
1. Tiffin 1-1 vs. Walsh and 0-2 vs. Urbana - 1-3 overall
Walsh wins tiebreaker
Urbana-Tiffin
1. Urbana swept two division games.
