CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Mount Vernon Nazarene teammates Amanda Stevens (Mount Vernon, OH), Allison Klusmann (Tallmadge, OH), and Brittany Dixon (Muncie, IN) have swept the AMC Player of the Week honors. The trio led the Cougars to the AMC Tournament title with a 4-0 record which included wins over NAIA No. 18 Cedarville and No. 24 Walsh.

Stevens, a six-foot junior outside hitter, averaged 3.73 kills and 5.13 digs. She registered 17 kills with a career-high 30 digs versus Cedarville and buried 17 kills against Roberts Wesleyan. Stevens added seven blocks and seven aces.

Klusmann, a 5-8 freshman setter, averaged 12.33 assists and 2.87 digs in the four matches to go along with eight kills, five blocks, and four service aces. She handed out 55 assists against Ohio Dominican and 53 more versus Cedarville.

Dixon, a 5-8 freshman, was recognized with the libero honor after producing a .975 pass percentage and .946 serve percentage with four aces. She also averaged 2.93 digs per game.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Houghton middle blocker Kirsten Nelson (Tokyo, Japan), Walsh setter Jillian Barry (Salem, OH), and Walsh libero Ashley Barr (Bowling Green, OH) are the AMC women's volleyball Players of the Week.

Nelson, a 5-foot-10 senior, averaged 6.25 kills with a .308 attack percentage to lead Houghton to pair of victories and a berth in this week’s AMC Tournament. She recorded 32 kills in a victory at Carlow after drilling 18 in a win versus Notre Dame. Nelson had 21 digs and 19 blocks in the two North Division victories.

Barry, a 5-6 freshman, averaged 16.33 assists as Walsh went 3-0 which included two AMC South Division wins. She added 12 digs, eight service aces, and six blocks.

Barr, a 5-4 freshman, totaled 61 digs in three matches for Walsh. She had a .976 serve percentage with seven aces and handled 41 passing attempts with just one error.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville middle hitter Sarah Zeltman (Orrville, OH), Cedarville setter Kelsey Jones (Cedarville, OH), and Urbana libero Tammy Schuler (Cincinnati, OH) have been named the AMC Players of the Week in women’s volleyball.

Zeltman, a 6-foot-1 freshman, averaged 4.69 kills with a .416 attack percentage to lead NAIA No. 19 Cedarville to a 4-0 week and the AMC South Division title. She added 33 digs and 16 blocks. Zeltman’s highlight was a career-high 27 kills in a five-game win at Malone. The Yellow Jackets also defeated No. 13 Taylor, Walsh, and Central State.

Jones, a 5-8 junior, averaged 12.77 assists in three matches for Cedarville, now 36-3, which also broke the previous school record for most victories in a season (34). She averaged 3.85 digs and 1.0 blocks per game.

Schuler, a 5-8 senior, helped Urbana to a 3-1 week by averaging 7.93 assists per game. She was good on 40 out of 41 serves and handled 128 passing attempts with a .953 accuracy.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Malone outside hitter Brandie Beebe (Wintersville, OH), Malone setter Beth Ianniello (Fresno, OH), and Daemen libero Mary Bellanca (Amherst, NY) are the AMC Players of the Week in women’s volleyball.

Beebe, a 5-foot-9 senior, led Malone to a 4-0 week by averaging 5.06 kills per game with a .298 attack percentage. She also had 66 digs and 16 service aces.

Ianniello, a 5-6 senior, averaged 13.73 assists in four matches for Malone. She added 42 digs, five kills, four blocks, and two aces.

Bellanca, a 5-6 freshman, averaged 6.60 digs in Daemen’s 2-1 week. She also handled 77 passing attempts without committing an error.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Walsh outside hitter Ruth Kucklick (Los Gatos, CA), Cedarville setter Kelsey Jones (Cedarville, OH), and Saint Vincent libero Elizabeth Zgorecki (Scottdale, PA) are the AMC Players of the Week in women’s volleyball.

Kucklick, a 5-foot-10 senior, pounded 5.25 kills per game with a .378 attack percentage to lead Walsh to a 3-1 week. She added 39 digs, 11 service aces, and five blocks for the Cavaliers.

Jones, a 5-8 junior, averaged 16.67 assists in two victories for Cedarville which extended the Lady Jackets’ winning streak to 15 in a row. She had 45 assists in a three-game sweep over Shawnee State and 55 more in three games versus Ohio Dominican. Jones added 23 digs and two blocks.

Zgorecki, a 5-4 senior, helped Saint Vincent to a 3-0 week by averaging 6.67 digs per game. She had 44 serve attempts without an error and posted a .900 pass percentage in 30 attempts.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville middle hitter Sarah Zeltman (Orrville, OH), Mount Vernon Nazarene setter Allison Klusmann (Tallmadge, OH), and Daemen libero Mary Bellanca (Amherst, NY) are the AMC women’s volleyball Players of the Week.

Zeltman, a 6-foot-1 middle hitter, averaged 4.50 kills with a .483 attack percentage to lead NAIA No. 15 Cedarville to a 4-0 week which extended their winning streak to 13 in a row. Her highlight was 21 kills and six blocks in a South Division victory over Walsh which ended a 10-match losing streak to the three-time defending NAIA Region IX champions. Zeltman averaged 2.29 digs and 1.71 blocks while serving up eight aces.

Klusmann, a 5-8 freshman, sparked Mount Vernon Nazarene to a pair of South Division wins by averaging 13.14 assists per game. She tallied 39 assists in a three-game sweep over Ohio Dominican and added 53 more with a career-high five blocks in a 3-1 win at Tiffin. Klusmann is the first freshman at MVNU to surpass 1,000 assists in a season.

Bellanca, a 5-6 senior, earned top libero honors for the second straight time after helping Daemen to a 4-0 week including three North Division victories. She averaged 7.0 digs per game and handled 105 passing attempts with a .943 percentage. The Wildcats have won seven straight.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville middle hitter Sarah Zeltman (Orrville, OH), Cedarville setter Kelsey Jones (Cedarville, OH), and Daemen libero Mary Bellanca (Amherst, NY) have been selected the AMC women’s volleyball Players of the Week.

Zeltman, a 6-foot-1 freshman, led NAIA No. 14 Cedarville to four AMC South Division victories by averaging 5.25 kills with a .490 attack percentage. In 12 games played, she added 14 blocks and 26 digs. Zeltman’s top effort came when she registered 19 kills, 10 digs, and two blocks in a win over Mount Vernon Nazarene.

Jones, a 5-8 junior, achieved Setter of the Week honors for the third straight time and for the fourth week out of five this season. She averaged 15.18 assists and 3.64 digs in Cedarville’s 4-0 week. She contributed 11 kills and five blocks as the Lady Jackets extended their winning streak to nine in a row.

Bellanca, a 5-5 senior, helped Daemen to three AMC North Division wins after averaging 6.93 digs per game. She served up six aces on a .920 accuracy and handled 107 passing attempts with a .935 percentage. The Wildcats are the only remaining unbeaten team in the division.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville middle hitter Sarah Zeltman (Orrville, OH), Cedarville setter Kelsey Jones (Cedarville, OH), and Saint Vincent libero Elizabeth Zgorecki (Scottdale, PA) are the AMC women’s volleyball Players of the Week.

Zeltman, a 6-foot-1 freshman, averaged 4.65 kills with a .420 attack percentage to lead NAIA No. 16 Cedarville to a 5-0 week including four victories at the Trinity Christian Invitational. She added 20 blocks, 30 digs, and five service aces. Zeltman posted a school-record .905 attack percentage in a three-game sweep of Benedictine when she pounded 19 kills in 21 attempts with no errors.

Jones, a 5-8 junior, earned Setter of the Week honors for the third time this season by averaging 14.0 assists per game for the Lady Jackets. She averaged 3.47 digs to go along with 10 kills, eight blocks, and six service aces.

Zgorecki, a 5-5 senior, helped Saint Vincent to a 4-0 week including three AMC North Division wins by averaging 7.07 digs per game. She had 90 passing attempts with three errors for a .967 percentage and served up three aces with a .951 accuracy.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Malone outside hitter Amber Chafins (Plain City, OH), Cedarville setter Kelsey Jones (Cedarville, OH), and Urbana libero Tammy Schuler (Cincinnati, OH) have been selected the AMC women’s volleyball Players of the Week.

Chafins, a 5-foot-9 sophomore, led Malone to a 5-1 week by averaging 4.22 kills and 4.83 digs per game. She posted a .272 attack percentage to go along with six blocks and five service aces.

Jones, a 5-8 junior, averaged 13.29 assists during NAIA No. 19 Cedarville’s 3-2 week which included a school-record 79 assists versus No. 4 Cornerstone. She averaged 3.29 digs and contributed 21 kills with five service aces.

Schuler, a 5-8 senior, took the top libero honors for the third straight week after helping Urbana extend their winning streak to 12 in a row while winning the Case Western Reserve/John Carroll Invitational. She averaged 6.77 digs and recorded a .952 pass percentage with five aces.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Malone outside hitter Brandie Beebe (Wintersville, OH), Malone setter Beth Ianniello (Fresno, OH), and Urbana libero Tammy Schuler (Cincinnati, OH) have been tabbed the AMC women's volleyball Players of the Week. Schuler was also the NAIA National Libero of the Week.

Beebe, a 5-foot-9 senior, averaged 4.68 kills per game while leading Malone to a 5-1 week and the Asbury Invitational championship. She posted a .318 attack percentage, served up nine aces, and added 3.84 digs per game. Beebe was voted to the all-tournament team.

Ianniello, a 5-6 senior, averaged 12.95 assists and 2.84 digs for the Pioneers. She contributed five blocks, four kills, and three aces.

Schuler, a 5-8 senior, earned Libero of the Week honors for the second straight time. She averaged 8.75 digs per game to lead Urbana to a 6-0 week and the Wooster Classic title. Schuler committed just four errors out of 117 passing attempts and had a .963 serving accuracy with four aces in 108 attempts.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Walsh outside hitter Ruth Kucklick (Los Gatos, CA), Cedarville setter Kelsey Jones (Cedarville, OH), and Urbana libero Tammy Schuler (Cincinnati, OH) are the AMC women's volleyball Players of the Week.

Kucklick, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter, led NAIA No. 13 Walsh to a 4-0 week and the Cornerstone Classic championship. She averaged 4.75 kills per game with a .345 attack percentage. She added 13 service aces, 27 digs, and eight blocks while being named to the all-tournament team.

Jones, a 5-8 junior, helped Cedarville remain unbeaten at 8-0 with four more victories in the Lady Jackets' own invitational. She averaged 14.17 assists per game to go along with 39 digs, nine blocks, and three aces. Jones was voted to the all-tournament team.

Schuler, a 5-8 senior, averaged 6.58 digs per game to guide Urbana to a 4-2 week. She served up nine aces with a .948 accuracy and handled 124 serves received with just seven errors for a .944 pass percentage.
