2006 Players of the Week
(April 24-30)
Stephanie Orr, Tiffin (position)
Ashley Archer, Geneva (pitcher)
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Tiffin outfielder Stephanie Orr (Columbus, OH) and Geneva pitcher Ashley Archer (Sanger, CA) have been selected the AMC softball Players of the Week.
Orr, a 5-foot-10 junior, batted .750 in four games for NAIA No. 14 Tiffin. She was 9-for-12 at the plate with two doubles, a triple, and a home run. Orr posted a 1.333 slugging percentage, scored seven runs, and drove in seven runs.
Archer, a 5-6 freshman, appeared in all eight games for Geneva and recorded a 3-2 record with two saves and a 1.19 ERA. She allowed eight runs total, five of which were earned, in 29 1/3 innings.

Kristina Schweikert, Tiffin (position)
April Nietrzeba, Tiffin (pitcher)
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Tiffin teammates Kristina Schweikert (Rochester, NY) and April Nietrzeba (Maumee, OH) are the AMC women's softball Players of the Week. They helped the NAIA No. 16 Dragons to an 8-0 week.
Schweikert, a 5-foot-9 senior outfielder, went 18-for-28 at the plate for a .643 batting average. She had three doubles, five triples, and a home run which produced a 1.214 slugging percentage. Schweikert walked twice, stole two bases, and scored 13 runs. She set TU career records for hits, doubles, and walks and a new season mark for runs scored.
Nietrzeba, a 5-10 junior righthander, posted a 5-0 record and allowed just one unearned run in 29 innings pitched. She surrendered only eight hits total and struck out 41 batters with four walks. Nietrzeba fired a seven-inning no hitter in a 4-0 win versus Carlow and tossed a six-inning one-hitter at Cedarville during a 10-0 decision.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Tiffin teammates Tracy Lehman (Whitehouse, OH) and April Nietrzeba (Maumee, OH) have been named the AMC women's softball Players of the Week.
Lehman, a 5-foot-10 junior first baseman secured Player of the Week honors after batting .611 during the Dragons' 6-1 week. She recorded 11 hits in 18 at bats with two triples, two homers, 14 RBI's, and eight runs scored.
Nietrzeba, a 5-10 junior righthander, was 3-0 with a 1.56 ERA in being chosen the Pitcher of the Week. She allowed four earned runs in 18 innings with 10 strikeouts and five walks.

Gina Schneider, Ohio Dominican (position)
Lori Harmon, Shawnee State (pitcher)
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Ohio Dominican third baseman Gina Schneider (Bellefontaine, OH) and Shawnee State pitcher Lori Harmon (Symmes Valley, OH) have been named the AMC Players of the Week in women's softball.
Schneider, a 5-foot-6 junior, batted .684 in six games and led NAIA No. 14 Ohio Dominican to the Olivet Nazarene Invitational title. She tallied 13 hits in 19 at bats with three doubles, two homers, five RBI's and six runs scored.
Harmon, a 5-5 freshman righthander, was 3-0 in three complete-game performances with a 1.00 ERA. In 21 innings pitched, she allowed three earned runs on 17 hits with 16 strikeouts and no walks.

Lauren Williams, Tiffin (position)
Amanda Stewart, Notre Dame (pitcher)
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Tiffin third baseman Lauren Williams (Jupiter, FL) and Notre Dame pitcher Amanda Stewart (Kettering, OH) have been named the AMC women's softball Players of the Week.
Williams, a 5-foot-9 sophomore, led NAIA No. 23 Tiffin to a 10-0 week with a .476 batting average. She had 10 hits in 21 at bats with a double, three home runs, and eight RBI's. Williams walked four times and scored 10 runs.
Stewart, a junior, did not allow a run in four appearances for Notre Dame while posting a 4-0 record. She allowed 12 hits in 27 2/3 innings with 27 strikeouts and five walks during AMC North Division twinbill sweeps over Point Park and Ursuline.

Brittany Patton, Seton Hill (position)
Kristin Eyerman, Mount Vernon Nazarene (pitcher)
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Seton Hill utility player Brittany Patton (Parkesburg, PA) and Mount Vernon Nazarene pitcher Kristin Eyerman (Delaware, OH) have been selected the AMC women's softball Players of the Week.
Patton, a 5-foot-8 junior, went 6-for-8 at the plate to lead Seton Hill to a doubleheader sweep over NCAA Division II Clarion. She scored twice and drove in three more runs to go along with a stolen base.
Eyerman, a 5-9 sophomore, had a 5-2 record in seven appearances with a 2.00 ERA. She allowed 10 earned runs in 35 innings pitched with 24 strikeouts and two walks.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Tiffin first baseman Tracy Lehman (Whitehouse, OH) and Tiffin pitcher April Nietrzeba (Maumee, OH) have been selected the first AMC softball Players of the Week for the 2006 campaign. They were instrumental in leading the Dragons to an 8-2 week including a 4-2 decision over NAIA No. 20 Saint Xavier as well as wins over two NCAA Division II schools who are receiving votes in their poll.
Lehman, a 5-foot-10 junior, batted .484 while hitting safely in nine-of-ten games. She tallied three doubles, a triple, eight RBI's, and seven runs scored.
Nietrzeba, a 5-10 junior, went 5-0 with a 1.06 ERA. She allowed five earned runs in 33 innings pitched with 29 strikeouts and five walks.
