CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Seton Hill middle hitter Lindsay Dixon (Latrobe, PA), Cedarville setter Kelsey Jones (Cedarville, OH), and Urbana libero Dannielle Cathcart (Anna, OH) have been named the AMC and NAIA Region IX Players of the Week in women's volleyball. They are the final choices for the 2005 season.
Dixon, a 6-foot-1 senior averaged 5.0 kills and 1.30 blocks while leading Seton Hill to a 2-1 week and as far as the AMC Tournament semifinals. She also added 12 digs for the Griffins, who qualified for the NAIA Region IX Tournament.
Jones, a 5-8 senior, averaged 16.50 assists and 4.60 digs to pace Cedarville to a 3-0 week and the AMC Tournament championship. She added seven blocks and six kills for the Yellow Jackets, who finished their second straight season unbeaten at home and extended their homecourt winning streak to 38 in a row.
Cathcart, a 5-7 senior, averaged 10.50 digs as Urbana split two matches. She handled 45-of-47 passes for a .957 accuracy to go along with two service aces.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville middle hitter Julie Bradley (Valencia, CA), Cedarville setter Kelsey Jones (Cedarville, OH), and Roberts Wesleyan libero Katie Horch (Rochester, NY) are the AMC and NAIA Region IX women's volleyball Players of the Week.
Bradley, a six-foot junior, led NAIA No. 17 Cedarville to a 6-1 week and the NCCAA national title by averaging 6.04 kills per game with a .440 attack percentage. She averaged 1.39 blocks and became just the second player in school history to surpass 2,000 career kills.
Jones, a 5-8 senior, averaged 14.83 assists and 4.39 digs for the Yellow Jackets. She added 33 kills and six service aces while being named the NCCAA National Tournament MVP.
Horch, a 5-5 senior, helped Roberts Wesleyan to a pair of AMC North Division three-game sweeps by averaging 7.17 digs per game. She handled 42-of-43 passes for a .977 percentage and tallied four service aces.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville middle hitter Julia Bradley (Valencia, CA), Urbana setter Cara Metz (Jackson Center, OH), and Urbana libero Dannielle Cathcart (Anna, OH) are the AMC and NAIA Region IX women's volleyball Players of the Week.
Bradley, a six-foot junior, paced NAIA No. 17 Cedarville to a 3-0 week and their second straight AMC South Division title by averaging 5.11 kills per game with a .583 attack percentage. She had 46 kills with just four errors in 72 attempts and contributed nine blocks in nine games.
Metz, a 5-8 freshman, was named MVP of the Manchester Invitational after leading Urbana to a 5-1 week and the tournament title. She averaged 13.48 assists and 3.43 digs per game while serving up ten aces. Metz handed out a school-record 75 assists in a five-game match at Ohio Dominican.
Cathcart, a 5-7 senior, averaged 8.48 digs for Urbana with seven service aces. She also posted a .956 passing percentage in 248 attempts. Cathcart has a school-record 1,126 digs this season which is one shy of the NAIA record.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville middle hitter Julia Bradley (Valencia, CA), Cedarville setter Kelsey Jones (Cedarville, OH), and Ohio Dominican libero Alisha Dials (Canal Winchester, OH) are the AMC and NAIA Region IX women's volleyball Players of the Week.
Bradley, a six-foot junior, averaged 5.15 kills per game with a .482 attack percentage to lead NAIA No. 17 Cedarville to a 4-0 week. The performance included a three-game sweep of AMC South Division foe Urbana and three wins to take the NCCAA Midwest Region championship. Bradley hammered a career-high 28 kills in a four-game victory against Spring Arbor. She added 16 blocks and 12 digs in the four matches.
Jones, a 5-8 senior, averaged 14.77 assists for the Lady Jackets to help extend their winning streak to 13 straight. Her weekly totals included 38 digs, 18 kills, and seven blocks.
Dials, a 5-7 sophomore, averaged 6.29 digs during Ohio Dominican’s 2-1 week with both wins coming in AMC South Division play. She had a .979 passing percentage in 145 attempts and also served up four aces.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Mount Vernon Nazarene outside hitter Amanda Stevens (Mount Vernon, OH), Cedarville setter Kelsey Jones (Cedarville, OH), and Roberts Wesleyan libero Katie Horch (Rochester, NY) are the AMC and NAIA Region IX Players of the Week in women's volleyball.
Stevens, a six-foot senior, led MVNU to a 3-0 week which included two key AMC South Division victories on the road at Urbana and Malone. She averaged 3.67 kills and 3.45 digs per game. Stevens moved into fourth place on the Cougars' career kills list with 1,787.
Jones, a 5-8 senior, averaged 14.80 assists to pace NAIA No. 19 Cedarville to three AMC South Division wins to extend the Lady Jackets' regular season conference winning streak to 27 in a row. She added 35 digs, 12 kills, three blocks, and two service aces.
Horch, a 5-5 senior, averaged 9.58 digs in three AMC North Division matches for Roberts Wesleyan. She also handled 121 passes without committing an error.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Ohio Dominican outside hitter Jeannie Koester (Englewood, OH), Urbana setter Cara Metz (Jackson Center, OH), and Saint Vincent libero Brienne Dvorsky (Greensburg, PA) have been named the AMC women's volleyball Players of the Week. The trio are also the NAIA Region IX Players of the Week.
Koester, a 5-foot-7 senior, guided ODU to a 3-0 week with AMC South Division wins over Mount Vernon Nazarene, Tiffin, and Rio Grande. She averaged 3.0 kills and 7.0 digs per game with a .250 attack percentage.
Metz, a 5-8 freshman, averaged 11.48 assists during Urbana's 4-1 week. She added 25 kills, 14 service aces, and seven blocks. Metz had a triple double of 49 assists, 15 digs, and 10 kills in a win over Saint Xavier.
Dvorsky, a 5-7 senior, averaged 6.88 digs in two AMC North Division victories including a 3-2 decision over Seton Hill in a battle for first place. She handled 47-of-49 passes for a .959 percentage and recorded two service aces.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Walsh outside hitter Jamie Herr (Attica, OH), Saint Vincent setter Ashley Ripple (Gibsonia, PA), and Ohio Dominican libero Alisha Dials (Canal Winchester, OH) are the AMC women's volleyball Players of the Week. All three were presented NAIA Region IX Player of the Week recognition. Herr and Ripple were later recognized as NAIA national players of the week.
Herr, a 5-foot-9 junior, averaged 5.83 kills with a .307 attack percentage and 4.50 digs per game to lead Walsh to a 3-0 week. In a five-game victory at NAIA No. 25 Mount Vernon Nazarene she hammered 26 kills coupled with 23 digs. Herr later buried a career-high 30 kills in a win versus Mount Union.
Ripple, a 5-7 senior, averaged 14.69 assists to pace 4-0 Saint Vincent which included three AMC North Division victories. She added 53 digs, 18 kills, six blocks, and two service aces.
Dials, a 5-7 sophomore, had 72 digs and six service aces during Ohio Dominican's 3-1 week whose only setback was to No. 12 Georgetown. She also posted a .941 pass percentage out of 102 attempts.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Point Park middle hitter Lindsay Bihler (Robinson Township, PA), Cedarville setter Kelsey Jones (Cedarville, OH) and Urbana libero Dannielle Cathcart (Anna, OH) have been selected the AMC and NAIA Region IX Players of the Week in women's volleyball.
Bihler, a six-foot junior, helped Point Park to a 3-0 week which include the Pioneers' first conference victory in two years. She averaged 5.30 kills per game with a .444 attack percentage. Bihler recorded 15 blocks, 10 service aces, seven digs, and an assist.
Jones, a 5-8 senior, averaged 13.95 assists during NAIA No. 19 Cedarville's 4-1 week. She was named to the Saint Francis IN Challenge all-tournament team where the Lady Jackets finished as runner-up to No. 16 Savannah Art & Design, who halted CU's 18-0 start.
Cathcart, a 5-7 senior, averaged 8.30 digs per game with a .980 pass percentage as Urbana went 3-0. The Blue Knights stretched their winning streak to 20 in a row.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville middle hitter Julia Bradley (Valencia, CA), Saint Vincent setter Ashley Ripple (Gibsonia, PA), and Urbana libero Dannielle Cathcart (Anna, OH) are the AMC women's volleyball Players of the Week. The trio also earned the same honor for NAIA Region IX.
Bradley, a six-foot junior, helped NAIA No. 20 Cedarville remain unbeaten with three more wins by averaging 5.36 kills on a .510 attack percentage. She also added nine blocks for the Yellow Jackets. Bradley's biggest effort was 23 kills and five blocks in a five-game win over Mount Vernon Nazarene in Cedarville's AMC South Division opener.
Ripple, a 5-7 senior, paced Saint Vincent to a 4-0 week by averaging 13.33 assists per game. She added 36 digs, 11 kills, eight blocks, and five service aces.
Cathcart, a 5-7 senior, took the top libero honor for the second straight week after averaging 8.71 digs as Urbana went 5-0. She had 10 service aces and was named to the Case Western Reserve All-Tournament Team.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Urbana middle hitter Mary Brunner (Cincinnati, OH), Cedarville setter Kelsey Jones (Cedarville, OH), and Urbana libero Dannielle Cathcart (Anna, OH) have been named the AMC Players of the Week for women's volleyball. Cathcart was also chosen the NAIA National Libero of the Week.
Brunner, a 5-foot-7 junior, and Cathcart, a 5-7 senior, helped Urbana to a 6-0 week which included the Wooster Classic championship. Brunner averaged 4.10 kills per game with a .372 attack percentage. She also averaged 2.20 blocks and 2.45 digs while being named tournament MVP. Cathcart supplied an even 10.0 digs per game and nine service aces. She posted a .976 pass percentage with only five errors in 211 attempts. The Blue Knights have won 12 straight matches.
Jones, a 5-8 senior, led Cedarville to a 5-0 week including the Cumberland TN Classic championship which kept the NAIA No. 18 Lady Jackets unbeaten through 11 matches. She averaged 13.41 assists per game and became CU's all-time assist leader with 4,812. Jones added 48 digs and four service aces while earning tournament MVP honors for the third straight week.

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Mount Vernon Nazarene middle hitter Shena Beheler (Butler, OH), Cedarville setter Kelsey Jones (Cedarville, OH), and Tiffin libero Holly Morgan (Finneytown, OH) are the first AMC women's volleyball Players of the Week for the 2005 season. The trio were also tabbed the NAIA Region IX Players of the Week.
Beheler, a 5-foot-10 sophomore, helped MVNU remain unbeaten at 13-0 with five victories all coming against AMC members. In 16 games played, she averaged 4.44 kills, 2.56 digs, and 1.69 blocks per game. Beheler, who posted a .513 attack percentage and served up four aces, was named MVP of the Roberts Wesleyan Invitational.
Jones, a 5-8 senior, guided NAIA No. 18 Cedarville to a 4-0 week to keep the Lady Jackets undefeated through six matches. She averaged 13.17 assists per game and was named MVP of the 18th Annual Cedarville Invitational. Jones chipped in 30 digs, 16 kills, 10 blocks, and two service aces.
Morgan, a 5-5 junior, sparked Tiffin to a 4-1 week after averaging 6.58 digs in 19 games played. She handled 80 of 84 passes and served four aces while being selected to the Tiffin all-tournament team.
