CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- Mount Vernon Nazarene College middle hitter Tara Seiter has been voted AMC Player of the Year in women's volleyball for the third successive year. The senior from Waldo, Ohio was the top votegetter in balloting by the conference coaches and will be presented the J. Albert Turner Award which goes to the top player in all 14 AMC championship sports. Cedarville's Teresa Clark was recognized as AMC Coach of the Year by her peers and Cedarville's Heather van der Aa was selected Freshman of the Year.

Seiter is again the number one selection on the 12-player All-AMC First Team after guiding MVNC to a share of the league title with Cedarville and Walsh. She is joined by teammate Rachel Widener. Cedarville secured the most spots with three as seniors Julie Opperman, Julie McIntyre, and Suzanne Lehman were all named. Walsh had Abby Feyh and Jennifer Pafford earn the honor. Rounding out the first team are Angela Lockhart and Kim Slone from Malone, Kathleen Thomas from Ohio Dominican, Stephanie Waller of Geneva, and Cara Gigliotti from Saint Vincent. The second team consists of 12 members while 14 players are honorable mention.

Clark was named Coach of the Year upon leading Cedarville to its first conference title in nine years. She finished her third year as head coach of the Yellow Jackets with 93 victories. The six-member All-AMC Freshmen Team is topped by van der Aa, a 6-foot-2 middle hitter from Bloomington, IL.
