CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- Mount Vernon Nazarene College teammates Tara
Seiter (Waldo, OH; River Valley H.S.) and Mandy Hendrickx (Hudson, OH;
Hudson H.S.) are the AMC women's volleyball Players of the Week. They were
selected the NAIA Great Lakes Region Players of the Week as well after
leading the top-seeded Cougars to the AMC Tournament championship.
Seiter, a 5-foot-11 senior middle hitter, averaged 5.78 kills and 2.0 blocks as MVNC swept their three tournament matches. She had a .339 attack percentage, 25 digs, and a .971 passing accuracy. Seiter is a three-time AMC Player of the Year, broke her own school record with 280 total blocks this season, and ranks second all-time in the NAIA in blocks (981) and kills (2,664).
Hendrickx, a 5-foot-6 senior setter, averaged 8.5 assists in the Cougars three wins while becoming only the third player in school history to reach 3,000 career assists. She had five aces with a .917 serve percentage for MVNC, 51-5 overall.

Players of the Week. They were each recognized as NAIA Great Lakes Region
Players of the Week.
Seiter, a 5-foot-11 senior, averaged 4.04 kills and 1.72 blocks during MVNC's 4-3 week. She moved into second place on the NAIA's all-time kills list with 2,612 and was named to NCCAA All-Tournament Team after pacing the Cougars to the semifinals. Mount Vernon Nazarene, 48-5 overall and 14-2 AMC, will be the No. 1 seed at this week's league tournament.
Pafford, a 5-foot-6 junior, averaged 12.2 assists to lead Walsh to a 3-1 week and a share of the AMC championship. She added 46 digs and seven service aces for the Cavaliers, 31-15 overall and 14-2 AMC, who are the No. 3 seed at the conference tournament.

(Willard, OH; Willard H.S.) are the AMC women's volleyball Players of the
Week.
Lehman, a 5-foot-7 senior, averaged 3.0 kills and 6.5 digs to lead Cedarville to a pair of victories. She posted a .406 attack percentage, received 63 of 64 serves for a .984 accuracy, and did not commit an error in 31 serve attempts. Lehman's highlight was 13 kills and 32 digs in a three-game sweep over Ohio Dominican. The Yellow Jackets are 25-6 overall and 13-2 AMC.
Jackson, a 5-foot-5 freshman, averaged 14.5 assists in two wins over AMC opponents for Malone. She had 39 assists versus Tiffin and 48 more against Geneva -- both three-game sweeps. Jackson contributed 2.33 digs pre game and had a .944 serve accuracy. The Pioneers begin the week 28-7 overall and 11-3 AMC.

Rachel Widener (Elyria, OH; Open Door Christian H.S.) and Tiffin
University setter Jessica Swartz (Green Springs, OH; Clyde H.S.) have been
selected the AMC women's volleyball Players of the Week. Both athletes
earned the honor after leading their teams to undefeated weeks.
Widener, a 5-foot-9 junior, averaged 3.27 kills and 3.73 digs during MVNC's 5-0 week which included the NCCAA East Regional championship. She also posted a .417 attack percentage and a .976 serving accuracy. Widener, who was named to the All-East Region Team, pounded a season-high 19 kills and had 25 digs to help the Cougars rally from a 2-1 deficit to beat host Malone in the region tournament. Mount Vernon Nazarene is 40-2 overall and 12-1 AMC.
Swartz, a 5-foot-6 junior, averaged 11.44 kills to lead Tiffin to a pair of AMC wins and a 4-0 week overall. In nine games played, she served up nine aces with a .954 accuracy and also recorded 2.67 digs per game. Tiffin is 19-9 overall and 4-7 AMC.

Players of the Week. Both athletes were also named NAIA Great Lakes Region
Players of the Week.
Slone, a 5-foot-6 sophomore, averaged 4.66 kills and 4.16 digs to lead Malone to a pair of AMC road victories which extended the Pioneers winning streak to 11 straight. She had 10 kills and 10 digs in a three-game sweep at Urbana, and she ripped 18 kills with 15 digs in a win at Cedarville to knock the Yellow Jackets out of first place. Slone recorded a .377 attack percentage for the week as Malone improved to 24-5 overall and 9-2 AMC.
McIntyre, a 5-foot-8 senior, averaged 5.64 assists and 6.18 digs to lead Cedarville to a 2-1 week which included victories over AMC frontrunners Mount Vernon Nazarene and Walsh. She had triple-doubles of 13 kills, 32 assists, and 40 digs in the win over MVNC, and 13 kills, 12 assists, and 11 digs against Walsh. She averaged 2.91 kills with a .291 attack percentage for the week. Cedarville is 19-5 overall and 10-2 AMC.

Thomas (Cleveland, OH; Padua Franciscan H.S.) and Saint Vincent College
setter Cara Gigliotti (Greensburg, PA; Greensburg-Salem H.S.) have been
selected the AMC women's volleyball Players of the Week.
Thomas, a six-foot sophomore, averaged 6.71 kills with a .481 attack percentage in a pair of AMC victories. Her highlight was 37 kills to help the Panthers rally from two games down to defeat Rio Grande. Thomas added 1.14 blocks per game for ODC, 15-6 overall and 6-3 AMC.
Gigliotti, a 5-foot-5 junior, averaged 11.44 assists as Saint Vincent won two of three AMC matches. In nine games played, she had 31 digs and seven aces with a .977 serve percentage. The Bearcats are 14-5 overall and 6-3 AMC.

of the Week. Both were also recognized as the NAIA Great Lakes Region
Players of the Week.
Seiter, a 5-foot-11 senior, earned the honor for the third time this season after MVNC remained unbeaten at 27-0 with seven more victories. The Cougars won the King TN Invitational title which included a three-game sweep of NAIA No. 24 rated Lee TN and three other victories over NAIA regionally-ranked teams.
Seiter averaged 3.45 kills and 4.41 digs in 22 games played with a .254 attack percentage, a .960 serve accuracy, and 11 aces. She had 15 kills in a three-game AMC sweep at Rio Grande and had 11 blocks in the King Invitational title match versus Bluefield WV. The Cougars begin the week 6-0 in the league.
Jackson, a 5-foot-5 freshman, averaged 13.90 assists in three victories as Malone improved to 18-5 overall and 5-2 AMC. Her numbers improved each time out beginning with 38 assists in a win against Denison, 47 versus Tiffin, and 54 at Geneva. Jackson added 24 digs in her 10 games played with five aces and a .911 serve percentage.

Mandy Hendrickx (Hudson, OH; Hudson H.S.) have been selected the AMC
Players of the Week in women's volleyball. Feyh was also named the NAIA
Great Lakes Region Player of the Week.
Feyh, a six-foot junior, averaged 3.63 kills with a .400 attack percentage to lead Walsh to four AMC victories. She totalled 31 blocks and six aces to go along with a .980 serve percentage. Her big outing was 17 kills at Malone where the Cavs rallied from a two-game hole to win. Walsh improved to 17-7 overall and 6-0 AMC.
Hendrickx, a 5-foot-6 senior, helped unbeaten Mount Vernon Nazarene continue its best start ever with six more wins including two in AMC play. She averaged 6.20 assists for the week in the Cougars' two-setter offense and was named to MVNC's Wazie Invitational All-Tournament Team. Hendrickx served up 11 aces in 87 attempts with just one error and also recorded 54 digs. The Cougars are 20-0 overall and 5-0 AMC.

AMC women's volleyball Players of the Week.
Lockhart, a 5-foot-10 junior, paced Malone to a 4-1 week which included the Wheaton IL Quad title. In 19 games played, she averaged 3.74 kills with a .400 attack percentage. She also totalled 20 blocks for the Pioneers, 13-4 overall and 1-1 AMC.
Gigliotti, a 5-foot-5 junior, averaged 11.37 assists per game to help Saint Vincent to a couple of AMC road victories. She had 58 assists in a five-game win at Tiffin and added 33 more in a three-game sweep at Notre Dame. Gigliotti contributed 24 digs and five aces for the Bearcats, 7-3 overall and 3-1 AMC.

Seiter, a 5-foot-11 senior, averaged 4.69 kills with a .389 attack percentage in four victories for MVNC. She had a .975 serve accuracy and a .960 pass percentage to go along with 1.85 blocks and 2.85 digs per game.
Seiter ripped 26 kills, four short of the school record, in a win over NCAA Division II Ashland. The Cougars begin this week 12-0 overall and 1-0 AMC.
Swartz, a 5-foot-6 junior, averaged 14 assists per game in Tiffin's victories against Wooster and Hiram. She did not commit a service error and also supplied 3.75 digs per game. The Dragons improved to 8-2 overall.

Seiter, a 5-foot-11 senior, who is a two-time conference Player of the Year, paced MVNC to its fourth straight Kenyon Invitational title. She also became the first Cougar player to surpass 2,000 career kills.
Seiter averaged 2.78 kills per game with a .398 attack percentage during Mount Vernon Nazarene's 6-0 week. She totalled 21 blocks and had a .935 serve accuracy.
Pafford, a 5-foot-6 junior, averaged 10.75 assists to help the Cavaliers open their season with a 7-3 week. Highlighting her effort was 46 assists in a five-game upset of Michigan Tech, who is preseason ranked No. 22 in NCAA Division II.
Pafford racked up 115 digs, 24 blocks, and 13 service aces. Walsh finished second in the Mount Union Invitational to Hope, who finished the 1997 season ranked No. 7 in NCAA Division III.
