CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- The AMC women's volleyball Player of the Year for 1999 is Malone College senior Angela Lockhart. The middle hitter from Stow, Ohio, helped the Pioneers to a 29-11 overall record and a runner-up showing in the AMC at 12-1. Lockhart ranked first in the conference with a .374 attack percentage and was third in kills at 4.27 per game.

Paul Swanson of Mount Vernon Nazarene College is the AMC Coach of the Year. He guided the Lady Cougars to their second straight league championship and their fourth in the past six years. MVNC was 44-5 overall and 13-0 AMC with road victories over their three closest pursuers. The Cougars also won the AMC Tournament.

Tiffin University's Ann Crary is the AMC Freshman of the Year. A middle blocker from Cincinnati, Ohio, She tied for first in the league in blocking with 1.73 per game and also averaged 2.60 kills with a .268 attack percentage.
